Creating a Global Impact Through STEM: Our Journey as a Business for Good

At Inventors & Makers, making a difference in children’s lives through STEM education has always been at the heart of what we do. From the very beginning, our mission has been to inspire young minds, ignite curiosity, and break down barriers to access.

In 2025, we took this commitment one step further by officially becoming a business for good through partnering with B1G1—a global giving initiative that helps businesses make a positive impact with every transaction.

How We’re Making a Difference

Our impact is built into everything we do. Whether it’s through giving away our free resources or taking bookings for our paid workshops and clubs, every action has a ripple effect that supports children around the world.

💡 Free Resources with Real-World Impact

We believe STEM should be accessible to all children, and our free resources on a diverse range of STEM Heroes are designed to inspire both childrens and teachers.

In addition to this, now every time a teacher signs up for our resources, we also create a tangible, positive outcome for another child somewhere in the world.

• When a teacher signs up for our free STEM Heroes emails, we give 2 days of clean water to students in Zambia.

• When a teacher subscribes to our free STEM Stories video series, we donate 2 days of learning tools to nursery children in Ethiopia.

🌍 Turning Bookings into Global Good

Our in-person and virtual workshop bookings don’t just inspire children locally—they also create far-reaching impact globally. Each booking triggers a donation through B1G1, with causes rotating monthly to spread our giving across multiple regions and needs.

So far, thanks to our amazing community of teachers, we’ve been able to:

• Provide solar lamps to families in Kenya

• Plant trees to restore forests in Madagascar

• Support early childhood development in South Africa

• Fund high-quality education for girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo

• Provide access to education for disadvantaged children in Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Madagascar

We’re deeply passionate about making STEM education meaningful—not just in the classroom, but in the world. Our partnership with B1G1 allows us to align our mission with real, measurable impact that supports children’s learning, health, and well-being across the globe.

And this is just the beginning.
