STEAM Sessions for EYFS & Nurseries
Bringing STEAM to life for Ages 18 Months to 5 Years
Our award-winning Little STEAMers sessions are designed specifically for the way young children learn - through play, exploration, and wonder.
Delivered by our qualified Inventioneer teachers, every session is purposeful, Ofsted-aligned, and built around the EYFS framework - giving children rich STEAM experiences while building the skills that matter most in early years.
We work with private nurseries and school EYFS settings across the UK - for one-off visits or regular monthly sessions. Our youngest participants (18 months to 2.5 years) take part in our shorter Sensory STEAM sessions before graduating into the full Little STEAMers sessions as they grow.

Why Choose Little STEAMers?
Done For You
Our Inventioneer teachers plan every session, bring all the materials, and take care of the delivery. There's no planning burden on your staff - just open the door and let the learning begin. Every session includes educator information sheets, parent take-home materials, and observation sheets linked to EYFS learning goals.
Taught by Experts, Linked to Your Topics
Every session is delivered by one of our Inventioneer teachers - qualified, experienced educators with specialist early years knowledge. They understand how young children learn, know how to make STEAM feel magical and purposeful, and will match sessions to the topics your setting is already exploring across the year (space, animals, life cycles) so what we do feels like a natural extension of your curriculum, not a bolt-on.
Ofsted-Ready STEAM Provision
Every Little STEAMers session is mapped to the EYFS Framework and the 2025 Ofsted Framework - supporting the Characteristics of Effective Learning and covering areas including Communication and Language, Understanding the World, and Physical Development. We'll give you everything you need to evidence the learning.
Real Outcomes for Children, Staff, and Your Setting
Children leave our sessions more curious, more confident, and more ready for school. Staff build subject knowledge and confidence by observing high-quality STEAM teaching in action. And your setting gains a clear, evidenced enrichment offer that engages parents - one nursery more than doubled their Friday attendance after introducing regular Little STEAMers sessions.
Accessible Materials, Real Science
We deliberately use simple, everyday materials that your setting will already have to hand — things like blocks, paper, paint and toys. This means children can revisit and repeat the activities after we've gone, consolidating their learning through play in the days that follow. Science and engineering becomes part of everyday nursery life, not just something that happens when a visitor arrives.

“I would highly recommend Little STEAMers for Nursery and Reception.
The presenting was well-pitched and the children thoroughly enjoyed it and developed their understanding...I loved the information that was sent home to parents too."
- M. Begley, Lead of Science for Life Partnership
"We very rarely find facilitators who can reach a whole group of 2–3 year olds — you covered so many aspects of the curriculum."
- Nursery Manager, Ecole du Parc Nursery
How Little STEAMers Sessions Work
In every Little STEAMers session, we introduce scientific ideas to children through stories, movement, singing and demonstrations. With age-appropriate activities using a mixture of specialist equipment and materials your setting will already have to hand, children then engage in hands-on exploration and play to cement what they've just discovered.
Every session follows the same familiar structure, so children build confidence and school-readiness through repetition as well as through the activities themselves.
For our youngest participants aged 18 months to 2.5 years, we run shorter Sensory STEAM sessions following the same principles before they graduate into full Little STEAMers sessions as they grow.
