After-School Club Leader

🕒 Thursdays | 3.10–4.10pm (plus 1 hour flexible prep time)
📆 Autumn Term 2026 (with the hope to extend longer)
What You'll Be Doing
Running a weekly STEM club for Key Stage 1 children (ages 5-6) on Thursdays after school. You’ll be leading practical, engaging sessions (think tower construction, bridge building, testing boats and more), with full lesson plans and all resources provided. No STEM expertise required!
After Christmas we'd love to offer the chance to continue and even expand into other days if you want to.
How It Works
✔ You’ll start by observing an experienced teacher each week
✔ Then you’ll move into team-teaching for several weeks
✔ Once you’re ready, you’ll be leading sessions independently
✔ We’ll support you all the way!
Pay & Hours
For 2 hours paid: 1 hour club + 1 hour prep

£35 per week during observation phase

Scaling to £60 per week once you’re teaching solo
The prep hour is flexible and can be done from home after the initial training period
What We're Looking For

Experience working with groups of primary-aged children (in a school, club or similar)

Someone reliable, enthusiastic and organised

An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to get one)
