Workshops for Libraries, Museums & Community Events
Bringing STEM to Life in Your Venue
Our award-winning STEM workshops are delivered by our Inventioneer teachers - qualified, experienced primary educators who know how to engage children and families together in community settings.
Fun, hands-on, and full of creativity, our sessions get everyone solving problems side by side using simple, everyday materials that make engineering feel accessible to all.
Whether you're planning a one-off holiday event or a regular programme of sessions, we offer drop-in workshops and bespoke bookable events for libraries, museums, community venues and festivals across the UK.
We're proud to have delivered summer workshops at The Royal Institution of Great Britain and to be partnering with the Royal Navy Museum to provide a regular programme of early years STEM sessions - and we'd love to bring the same energy to your venue or event.
Why Choose Inventors & Makers for Your Venue?
Hassle Free to Host
Booking is quick and straightforward, and every session can be tailored to suit your programme. Our Inventioneer teachers bring all the resources and equipment, and with years of experience they adapt seamlessly to your space, audience, and schedule - leaving you free to focus on your visitors.
Led by Qualified Teachers
All our workshops are delivered by our Inventioneer teachers - qualified and experienced primary educators and STEM specialists who know how to engage children and families together. Whether it's a drop-in session with mixed ages or a bookable workshop for a specific age group, they handle everything with warmth, expertise, and good humour.
Everyday Materials, Real Engineering
We use simple, reusable materials - cups, craft sticks, straws - so engineering feels accessible to every child and family, not just when a specialist arrives with expensive equipment. Children leave knowing they can recreate the same challenges at home, which means the learning doesn't stop when the session does.
Grow Your Audience
Our workshops attract new children and families into your space and keep them coming back. With engaging, memorable experiences that bring generations together, we help libraries and museums build stronger community connections - and give families a reason to return.
“During the Inventors & Makers workshops it was amazing to see entire families, children and adults, fully engaged and learning together. Susie did a fantastic job of making the activities accessible and inclusive, so everyone felt encouraged to take part. It was lovely to see parents and caregivers getting just as involved as the children, working side by side and sharing ideas.
- Digital Inclusion Team, Newham Libraries
"All the children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and many came to the museum specifically for the Inventors and Makers workshops. It was magical seeing memories made between grandparents, parents, and the children. We've had wonderful feedback from families asking when the next sessions will be. It was the highlight of February Half Term. "
