Katie Rochester

Hello! I'm Katie and I'm running Inventors & Makers sessions in Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

I’ve always loved Science, in particular Physics. I studied Physics at University and for the past 13 years have been a secondary school Physics teacher, working in schools in the North East of England.

During my career, I’ve worked to provide as many STEM enrichment opportunities to my students as possible, from trips and clubs, to arranging external visitors into school. Now I have two young children of my own and through them, I have seen the joy and wonder of the world around us through the eyes of young children. I am keen to help children in schools and early years harness this curiosity and enthusiasm.
