About the Event

This class explores space, stars and the Moon. We learn about how astronauts get to space and take part in fun activities to create our own star constellations, simulate a rocket launch and decorate a bumpy Moon surface.

Learning & Benefits of This Class:

  • Science - space, stars, constellations, the Moon, gravity, rockets, using air to propel objects
  • Engineering - power and speed required for rocket launch
  • Arts - moon pictures, printing technique for effect, mixing grey
  • Maths - counting, counting backwards, shapes, comparison language of speed and distance
