Designing & Making (ages 8-11)
Time & Location
About the Event
Children learn about the design thinking process, used by designers to create and innovate new ideas. They use this process to come up with their own brand new invention to solve a problem. They then use provided materials to build a prototype of their invention. Throughout the day they learn about how inventors really work and are encouraged to think outside the box.
As always at Inventors & Makers classes, the learning will focus on promoting problem solving, creativity and collaboration, while children take part in fun and engaging activities.
Our workshops have an informal and relaxed environment and are limited to a small number of children to maximise teacher support. After each workshop, parents receive detailed feedback on their child's participation, including photos where appropriate.
We'd love to have your child join us to learn new skills, make new friends and have a lot of fun!
